We Help with Re-Entry Permits

As a green card holder, you are free to travel abroad. If you remain outside the United States for more than one year (12 consecutive months), however, the government may determine that you have given up your greed card status. As a result, your green card could be revoked. If you are planning on traveling outside the country for more than one year, but for less than two years, applying for a re-entry permit before you leave the U.S. can help ensure that you maintain your green card status.

Freedom Immigration helps individuals prepare and file Reentry Permit applications with USCIS. If issued, the re-entry permit will establish that your permanent residency (green card) status has not been abandoned while you are temporarily working and living outside the US.

If you do not apply for a re-entry permit before you travel, you will not be eligible to obtain the permit. Instead, you will need to apply for and obtain a “returning resident visa” at the United States consulate or embassy before your return to the U.S. Additionally, you are not eligible for a re-entry permit if you have applied for your green card but have not yet received it.
